Question:
A golf club company by the subject name is attempting to secure a market position along side the big spenders (Calloway…Taylor Made, Etc.) by setting up club fitting computer programs at some of the discount shops in San Diego….I’m all for giving the big advertizers a run for their money by emphasizing measurement over hype…Is Pinseeker doing that, or are their "fitting programs" just a more subtle type of hype?…. Is this a serious firm or just another knockoff of major manufacturers. Thanks, Ed Aiken

Pinseeker has been around for a LONG time — probably as long as Callaway. They used to be premier clubs in the 80s. I don’t know what their clubs are like today. Cheers! Dave

I’ve got a set of ladies’ Pinseeker Clubs (Center Fire – Goldwin) – it’s just a starter set. When we were buying, the guy at Roger Dunn told us that they are, by far, the best starter set clubs out there. We looked at a few knock-off brands and he totally steered us away from them. I’ve been happy with them so far. They’re steel shafted, though, and I’m looking forward to getting my graphite-shafted Lady Cobras next year! Grips suck – very hard – I’ll probably have them replaced before too much longer. Jessica Nicholas Personal Homepage: http://pages.prodigy.com/Nicholas

They’ve been around forever. I got a set of Pinseeker irons back around ‘81 or so and used them for about 10 years. And they were well established when I got them. They’ve been selling golf clubs longer than what you probably consider "serious firms" like Callaway. — Douglas Siebert Director of Computing Facilities He who lives in a glass house should not invite in he who is without sin.

I don’t know what they’ve done lately, but Pinseeker was one of, if not THE first to offer hollow stainless steel metalwoods on a commercial basis. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong. -Barry — * Binary Data Services – Barry Smith, Owner * "Ask me about setting up your own Web Site *** Buy Sell Trade Golf Clubs – http://www.looksee.com/barry
