Mizuno Titanium Inset Irons (T3's)

Question:

Does anyone have any experience with these irons – steel or graphite? — To reply, remove NOJUNKMAIL from e-mail address.

Response:

I tried these irons /w steel shafts out at the range and they were the best oversized I’ve ever hit. I got 5 more yards than usual and what surprised me was I was more accurate. They’ll probably be my next set unless I find something more impressive. Ram.

I’m basically a beginner and I’ve been in the mkt for a new set of clubs. I’ve tried an awful lot of different high end clubs –Callaway x12, Cobra, Wilson, TaylorMade, etc, etc, etc — but the T3 is the most consistent of any of them. No matter what I do, I simply cannot avoid hitting it straight. Even on hits that I know are off, the ball goes straight with (usually) just a minor distance effect. I don’t know if they’re the longest irons I’ve hit, but they’re the most consistent by far. It’s almost by accident that I found them. I needed something to practice with, and found a T3 6 iron for 9.99 in the surplus bin in a local golf store. I mostly hit with it and demo other clubs. Then recently I realized that I hit much better with the T3 than anything I’ve demoed. So, I’m buying a set. One plus — the steel shaft is sensicore – so there’s just a solid hit feeling with no vibration. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I tried these irons /w steel shafts out at the range and they were the best oversized I’ve ever hit.
