Question:
Would appreciate any feedback on these irons. Golf Day going out of sale and is offering them for $325 (original list price $599).
Response:
Looks like a deal to me. One of the guys at my club has them. He says they play a lot like DCI’s. Ken – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -Would appreciate any feedback on these irons. Golf Day going out of sale and is offering them for $325 (original list price $599).

I have the midsize Revolutions (red dot). Great clubs! I picked them above Callaway X-14, Ping I3, Tommy Armour 845 EVO and others. Sounds like a very good deal. Would be nice if you could find them in a pro shop somewhere, to see if you like them. Would be a shame to spend a lot of money for clubs that didn’t fit. Personally, I hit them higher, further, straighter, and more consistently than any of the clubs I tried. But would highly recommend trying them if possible. Tom

I have been playing the Revolutions for about a year. They are the best irons I have ever played (Callaway S2H2, Powerbuilt TPS, Scotchblades, Hogan Apex, Spalding Executives to name a few over the years). They look like blades setting up and feel great. They are one of the few irons I’ve found with no offset. That is a terrific price. I got mine new for $350 and that was the best deal I had heard of until now. I also like their Australian Blades but thought better of it since I am a senior. I don’t need to work that hard at the game any more! Hope you enjoy them as much as I.

FWIW, Robert Allenby switched to Maxfli Revolutions this year, from blades. Credits them with a fair bit of his success in 2000. Cheers Colin Wilson RSG Roll Call: http://u1.netgate.net/~kirby34/rsg/wilsonc.htm Trentham Golf Club: http://www.trenthamgolf.com

I compared Revolutions, Titleist 990’s and Mizuno T-Zoid Pro II’s last month. The clear winner was Mizuno… J.T.
