A description of the Callaway Handicap System is available from the USGA’s web site at http://www.usga.org. If you are also interested in MS Windows based computer software to assist in the management and scopring of the tournament, we suggest that you visit our home page at http://www.northernsystems.com and download a 30 day evaluation copy of our Handicap Manager for Windows, Tournament Edition. Our Tournament Edition can perform tournament scoring by a variety of methods including Gross Scores, Net Scores, Callaway, several variations of Stableford, Modified Peoria, the World Golf Federation’s Daily Equalizer, our own Northern Nine, 2 or 4 man Best Ball (gross or net), and Scramble. In addition to our tournament management software we have U.S., Canadian, Australian, and U.K. (CONGU) Personal editions for use by golfers who wish to monitor their handicap while computing statistics about their game. We also have U.S. and Canadian Professional Editions which are currently being used by golf courses in the United States and Canada which compute and certify USGA and RCGA Handicap Indexes. For each edition of our software, we have an agreement with the appropriate golf governing body giving us permission to use their handicap system in our software.
