Biggest Big Bertha Head Flew Off

Question:

Newsgroups: rec.sport.golf Had a similiar incident with a Taylor Bubble 3 Wood (regular shaft & head). Came through the ball sweetly on the tee at #16 Sterling Farms and the head went about 100 feet down the middle. We all laughed and after the round was over I brought it to the pro shop where I’d bought it. Three days later I had a replacement, no charge. I was told it was about the 4th such incident they’d seen at the course (60,000 rounds annually). So, my answer is: just bring it back where you bought it. — F.X. Flinn Stamford CT Does anyone have the Biggest Big Bertha and has the head came off. Yesterday, when I took a back swing, the head flew off and came about three inches to hitting my friend.  The head traveled about 4 feet and this has ever happened to you.  Also tell me what you did with it. Where could I send it back to.  The Ultra Light shaft does not look like it can handle the head.  If there are any Callaway Rep. could you please tell me the reason for this incident.  Has anyone tried the Goldwin XXL 300 driver yet, I was thinking of getting one.  Thanks Chris

You should bring it back to where you bought it. They may give you another one on the spot. If not they will know where to send it. Regards Trevor Critch

Chris: Why not bring it back to the pro or dealer you bought it from. They will most likely call Callaway, and replace the club on the spot if they have it in inventory, or Callaway will overnight you a new club. PS. Was the shaft intact? Perhaps the epoxy had not bonded correctly! Fine! Everything is just fine!! ThanX for Asking!!!
