Anybody use Golfsmith Jetstream driver?

Question:

Does anybody use the Golfsmith Jetstream driver? If so, what shaft are you using with it? Does this club have the playing characteristics and/or the cosmetic appearance of any OEM club? How do you like it overall? Thanks. Youngstown State University Penguins Div. I-AA National Football Champs 1991, 1993, 1994 Runners-up 1979, 1992

I built a 3 and a 5 wood for a guy who bought my Golfsmith Ti 230 head after I had decided against it.  I thought they were very nicely finished, though just a little too flashy.  The good news is that they are nice whithin a post Callaway frame of reference.  ie nice contoured soles, low hosel etc…  The weight port allows some swing weight variance, which is really important.  On the other hand if you can’t swing weight, then you might preffer a head whithout the screw.  I used TT Lite Graphite shafts, which are a good medium weight and bend shaft.   If you preffer a more conservative look, try the Pennick woods, which are really nice with the Dynamic Gold shaft. A head I preffer to the Jetstream (swingwport aside) is the UT GOlf Geotech Ti or Graphite faced wood.  It is beatiful, and the head is made of a very good grade of streel.  These are now priced in the 3+/- range depending on head.  I would only build these if I wanted to finish them through bore like the Berthas.  Fake bore doesn’t cut it for me. 1992 I used this club for years.  It plays very similar to the Killer Whale by Wilson.  Mine has a stiff steel shaft.  I was pleased with the performance, although not the longest hitting club. K
